Little Ramadan (Raihan Khan) is a brat. Behind his mischief, Ramadan has a talent for storytelling. Ramadan’s father, Abuya (Khairul Budi), aware of his talent. When teaching the Koran and seeing Ramadan acting, he gave a penalty on him to tell a story. Although punishing, Abuya always enjoy the tales presented by Ramadan. Secretly Nayla, neighbor and friend, also likes the story.
Ramadan is forced to part with his parents when Abuya and Umi (Elma Theana) send him to boarding school. Living away from parents does not make Ramadan’s mischief reduced. As a result he and his two friends Kiagus (Qya Gus Ditra) and Abdul (Hendra Wirajaya) are punished by Ustad Athar: ro preach in the cemetery and crowded places. They serve the punishment even in the face scorns, insults, and sometimes threats.
Ramadan (Hussein Alatas) changes as Ustad Athar tells that his cost to study in boarding costs is paid by donating Abuya’s kidney to Athar. This fact hits hard Ramadan. He determines to become ustad. Kirana (Zee Zee Shahab) is a girl whom he meets at boarding school when shooting of a film that makes the way more open for Ramadan as ustadz when he is invited to lecture at her house. However, Kirana makes Nayla (Nina Septiani) jealous.
Umi has to be rushed to the hospital when she is falling and vomiting in the Kirana’s parents party. This incident makes Ramadan increasingly trying hard to please Abuya who lost a kidney and Umi who gets brain stroke.
